With summer in full swing, it’s time to think about how children who receive free or reduced-priced lunch in school will eat healthy meals while school is out.
Capital Region Medical Center’s Healthy Communities program is providing free meals to children during the summer. Lunch will be available 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 12 and Tuesday, June 13 at the city park in Versailles.
There is no cost to attend. More information is available by calling 314-413-6891. Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations, to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. Anyone age 18 or younger may come eat.
Additional free lunch dates will be announced when confirmed.
