Myrna Schroder, from left, demonstrates to Diann Holsten and Connie Altic how to create hand-colored quilt squares using muslin backed with butcher paper, wax crayons, paper towel, and a hot iron during the Unique Stitchers ’n’ More guild’s 2017 Stover Fair Quilt Show Thursday, June 15 at the Stover Community Center. After coloring the pattern on a muslin square, the iron is used to lift the wax onto pieces of paper towel, until no color transfers to the paper towel.
