The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the following recent accident this week.
A Stover man was injured in a three-vehicle accident 5:38 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 on Highway 52, 38 feet east of Gates Road in Morgan County.
The accident occurred when an eastbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeffrey A. Martin, 15, of Barnett made a left turn while towing farm equipment, and an eastbound 2014 Ford F-150 driven by Travis W. Judd, 27, of Independence struck the Silverado’s towed unit. The towed unit came loose from the Silverado and struck a westbound 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Russell A. Sharp, 57, of Stover.
Sharp sustained moderate injuries in the accident, and was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
The F-150 and the Grand Cherokee were both totaled in the accident, and were removed by Whan’s Towing of Versailles. The Silverado received extensive damage, and was removed by its owner.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts during the accident.
