A traffic stop by Morgan County sheriff’s deputies Monday, Oct. 2 on Highway 52 east of Stover led to multiple arrests on charges related to methamphetamine.
Bryan Anson, 42, of Versailles was stopped while driving a 2005 Chevrolet truck. A consent search of his vehicle uncovered approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine.
Anson was charged with the Class B felony of second degree drug trafficking and was held at the Morgan County Justice Center with a $250,000 cash or surety bond.
In a related investigation Monday, Oct. 2, deputies searched a residence in the 400 block of Clay Road in Versailles and recovered approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging material.
Deborah Moberly, 59, of Versailles was charged with the Class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance and the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance. She was jailed with a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
Douglass Elizabeth Middleton, 18, of Versailles was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was jailed with a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
These charges were processed through the office of Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney Dustin Dunklee. The charges are accusations only and are not proof of guilt. Defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
